They keep teasing these Strandberg guitar stands but have never brought them back into the store. It’s like they were discontinued years ago and I never got to buy one, but whenever they do promos for a new guitar they show those stands…bring them back Ola!

I have one...perfect for throwing in a fireplace when you're cold. Worst electronics and tuners I've experienced on a guitar. For what I paid for it, it was a major disappointment

My next guitar

I am really intrigued by this guitar, it's been like 7 months that I'm convincing myself to buy it. The point is that I already possess a musicman JPX7 that I don't want to buy, so I have to justify myself owning 2 guitar with a similar sonic profile. What's your experience with this guitar? Is the fretboard smooth? Does it stay in tune? Does it feel premium? Thanks!

Unfortunately cards my be not enough to prevent bridge for slipping out of saddles and "explode". I found out that it's better to leave 1 or 2 strings, clean the guitar and put rest of them one by one.

Now change the pickup and compare the difference xD

What I've come to think over the last 15 years or so is that: 1. There is a degree of difference. 2. The degree of difference is small. In terms of audible difference in tone, it's very subtle. 3. The difference is much more to do with the characteristics of a particular piece of wood rather than what species it is. Density, porosity, hardness, grain structure. A piece of swamp ash and a piece of African mahogany may be very similar in the properties mentioned and will therefore "sound" the same. Watching the video on my phone I didn't hear much difference among all the timbers, and the graphs all look very similar. Some slight differences but I'm wondering how audible those differences are. I should listen with headphones and not watch, to focus purely on the sounds, but I think I still won't hear much difference. Now, all these discussions whether about body wood, neck wood, fretboard wood, nut material, finish and so on tend to focus on the one thing and ignore that the guitar is a system where all the parts interact. Then there's the electronics, cable, effects, amplifier and speaker. At the end the listener will say it sounds like a guitar, sounds good (or bad). Not one is going to say "that's a really great piece of (timber name).

I have hand and elbow injuries and really want to hit on the Strandberg bandwagon. I play left handed and hope that there will be more lefties available (Sälen Jazz please!). Hopefully Ola Strandberg follows through with that one essential ergonomic factor for his ergonomic guitars... left handed playing!

I was at the Liquid Tension concert @Park West when Jordans keyboard started acting up. When he grabbed Johns guitar and started shredding my mind was completely blown. I had never followed his career as a solo artist just while he was in DT. So I had no clue he could play guitar. That was probably the highlight of that show for me.
